In Leon's Second Run story - which is available after completing Claire's Story, the rookie cop will journey to the Raccoon Police Department and find his first day on the job to be a nightmare. And just like the original release, if you want to save your game you are going to need to use Ink Ribbons. This difficulty requires planning and a level head, which isn't always easy when you need to run for your life. Enemies in the early game can easily take 10 to 12 bullets before going down, so at times it's easier to just run away. Enemies soak up bullets like sponges, unfazed by the metal piercing through their chest and head. Hardcore Difficulty- For the sadists out there, this mode is for you.If you are looking for a reasonable challenge that won't have you ripping your hair out, this is the mode for you. You also won't regenerate health automatically, and will need to pick up items to protect yourself from whatever lurks in the shadows. Enemies absorb more bullets before going down, which will feel like a ton of shots given our familiarity with one-headshot zomibies in most games. Standard Difficulty- A modernized Resident Evil 2 experience that will test your mettle in the heat of combat. You basically become Wolverine crossed with an expert marksman, which sounds like useful powers in a zombie outbreak. To top it all off, you'll regenerate health automatically without using items, making the game a lot easier. The enemies are also a little weaker, allowing you to survive if Aim Assist isn't enough to take down a baddie. You'll have access to aim assist a neat feature that allows even those with the worst aim to survive and conquer. Assisted Difficulty- The easiest game mode by far holds your hand throughout your entire zombie-killing expedition. If you're having trouble figuring out which difficulty is right for you, here's the Resident Evil 2 remake difficulty explained. The entire game has been revamped: from the controls, to the gameplay, to the different to the difficulty settings. If you played the original back on the PlayStation, you might not recognize much of your original experience. The highly anticipated remake Resident Evil 2 is finally here, giving players the chance to be terrified of Capcom's zombie-horror thriller 20 years after it jump-scared a generation.
