![]() In order to beat the DPS of a turret, it would have to be hitting three or more targets every time, especially when Scatter Valley, Rapid Fire, etc come into play. OK, it can technically hit "up to 5 targets in a straight line", but how often does that happen? The chance of connecting even two ships in a line is miniscule, when the ships have to be ships directly between you and the target. Seriously? The turret sitting next to it does 893 dps (and can be increased by boff powers and has procs) So with the new season, I went to the reclaim thing and got a "Heavy Escort Hyperexcited Ion Stream Projector", upgraded it to Mk.
